Corporate Bio
Brian’s Insulation began in 1980 when Brian D. Nelson was insulating attics
with his pick-up, a trailer and a small two bag insulation blower. His dad was a
building contractor, so Brian grew up in construction. Starting an insulation
company seemed only natural. Brian stored his insulation in his grandmother’s
garage. She was very supportive of his new venture and good work ethics ran
strong in the family. At first insulating was his second and sometimes third
job, but with a lot of hard work and persistence it quickly consumed all of his
time. As times changed so did the demand for insulation. In the past carpenters
would insulate their own walls but soon they were too busy and were happy to
hire someone to do it for them. Brian eventually hired employees and bought a
truck. He has always focused on quality work and customer satisfaction, as he
has always lived in the community that many of his customers lived in. A good
reputation was, and still is, very important to him. In 1991 Brian saw a need to
implement a waterproofing division and so T&T Waterproofing & Draintile Inc. was
started. Keeping up on the latest products is also very important. The housing
industry is continuously changing and customer needs vary from one project to
another. Being versatile has always been vital.
